Audit Inspection – Financial Year 2024–25

During the audit inspection for the financial year 2024–25, the Panchayat’s financial transactions and implementation of various projects were generally assessed as satisfactory. The income and expenditure accounts, utilization of own funds, and compliance with Government instructions were examined.

Major Observations

• Collection of Property Tax, Profession Tax, and Licence Fees needs to be strengthened.
• Project files and registers should be maintained accurately and systematically.
• Greater supervision is required in services such as waste management, streetlight maintenance, and drinking water supply.
• Project funds should be utilized within the stipulated time, and work completion reports should be submitted accurately and promptly.

Action Taken by the Panchayat

To rectify the deficiencies pointed out in the audit, the Panchayat has decided to take measures such as strengthening tax collection, digitizing records, improving project monitoring, and enhancing the quality of public services.
