Financial Year: 2026–27

The Annual Plan of Pandikkad Grama Panchayat for 2025–26 has been prepared with the objective of ensuring the overall development of the village and improving the quality of life of the people. The plan gives priority to agricultural development, social welfare, infrastructure development, advancement of health and education, and environmental protection.

1. Production Sector Development

To strengthen the agricultural sector in the village, development projects for vegetable cultivation, banana cultivation, and tuber crops will be implemented. Measures will be taken to control the nuisance caused by wild boars, which damage agricultural crops. To increase the income of farmers, schemes for distribution of dairy cows and promotion of milk production will be implemented. Projects have also been formulated to promote self-employment group enterprises for women and ensure their economic self-reliance.

2. Service and Welfare Sector

Housing schemes will be implemented with the objective of ensuring safe housing for all. For the welfare of senior citizens, senior citizens’ clubs will be formed and health and social support programmes will be organized. Artistic and cultural training programmes will be implemented to nurture creativity among children. Anti-drug awareness classes will be organized in schools to develop social responsibility among the younger generation.

Special welfare programmes will be implemented for women, children, persons with disabilities, and destitute patients, with the objective of transforming the Panchayat into a women-friendly, child-friendly, and disability-friendly Panchayat.

3. Education and Social Development

Support will be provided for educational advancement and employment opportunities through distribution of laptops to Scheduled Caste students and organization of PSC training classes. Art programmes and training camps will be encouraged to preserve traditional progressive art forms and cultural heritage.

4. Sanitation and Environmental Protection

The “Nammude Pandikkad Sundaram” (Our Pandikkad Beautiful) project will be implemented to make waste management more efficient. Special emphasis will be given to sanitation activities, green initiatives, cleaning of public places, and plastic-free activities.

5. Infrastructure Development

The Panchayat’s dream project of constructing a Shopping Complex will be implemented. Modernization and continued maintenance of streetlights will be ensured. Road and transportation facilities will be improved, and industrial estates will be renovated. Priority will also be given to the renovation of school and Anganwadi buildings.

6. Objective of the Plan

The main objective of this Annual Plan is to transform Pandikkad Grama Panchayat into a people-friendly Panchayat that ensures public participation, improves the quality of life through comprehensive development, and promotes social justice and infrastructure development.
